Nearing Home: Billy Graham´s Last Book

I highly respect Billy Graham. Growing up his autobiography was a big influence in my life and, although he is not one of my favorite authors, I though it would be interesting to read a book about what it´s, for a guy like him, who was really active all his life, to be elderly and his reflections on that.

In Nearing Home, Billy Graham´s last book, he speaks on how to understand the gift of years, facing life's transitions, enjoying every step and facing them with courage, including retirement, and even when loved ones die. What are decisions and how we should take decisions getting older and finally, understanding hope even when life appears to get to an end for you in any time.

What I found important for this book is that people think that when they are old they are done. Being honest most people think that of elder fellows. But there is more to this time in life that we imagine: the joy and opportunity of being wiser, looking back and enjoy the special days that were live and the strength to keep going base on the fact that life was well lived and there is more ahead of us.
